Today at History Undressed I’m guest blogging about what the Native Americans of the Santa Fe area wore in 1600. The puebloans faced drought and marauders, and then it got worse. The conquistadors marched up the Rio Grande valley bringing wonders like metal plows, wagons, new seeds, cattle and sheep. And swords, cannon, and disease. Life is never easy.
The blog talks about the design of the puebloans clothes and their use of cotton, furs, and feathers.
